We are a small, family-owned business operating since 1995. We specialize in quality construction of cabinetry, furniture, and customized interior woodwork. Let us provide you with 100% satisfaction guaranteed.Schafer Woodworking was started by Keith Schafer in 1995 and over the next 27 years, he grew the business into a reputable cabinet shop known for exceptional quality, attention to detail, and premium construction. In 2017 Nick was hired onto the team and worked for Keith for the next 5 years and then purchased the business from him at the end of 2021. Shafer Woodworking is now owned and operated by Nick Gloede and his wife Kelly.

Meet our Team

Brian

Brian has worked at Schafer Woodworking for 12 years and has 26 years of carpentry experience! Brian lives in Holmen with his wife, Brenda, and their two kids. When not at work you can often find Brian fishing or hunting with his 15 year old son Jack, or supporting his 12 year old daughter Addie at choir concerts or drama club!

John

John grew up in Onalaska and now lives in Holmen with his wife Tracy and their son Johnny. John has been doing custom cabinetry for 25 years and has worked at Schafer Woodworking for 15 years! John enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching his son play baseball and basketball when he is not at work.

Rick

Rick has been finishing woodwork for four years! He grew up in St. Paul and moved to La Crosse 5 years ago. He loves the La Crosse area! Rick has two young boys with his wife Carolyn. When not working Rick spends time cooking, grilling, and making some awesome hot sauces!

We took over operations from the founder, Keith, and have worked diligently in carrying on and continuing to improve the quality of our products. We are proud to be a family owned business in the Coulee Region! We work to make our cabinetry and woodwork custom to the specific needs of each customer and we continue to strive to manufacturer and install the best product available in the Coulee Region. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful people in the surrounding area through home renovations, new cabinetry projects, historical matches, and are always looking for additional ways to assist in our community.
